Xenon Anomalies in the Pasamonte Meteorite

Xenon Anomalies in the Pasamonte Meteorite

Description:

Rowe and Kuroda (1965) presented their measurement of the isotopic composition and abundance of xenon in a sample of the Pasa- monte meteorite in which isogenic xenon, pre- presumably from the spontaneous fission of ex- tinct Pu'”, was detected. The Pu’-Xedecay interval was found to be about 300 m.y. The data on a second sample of Pasamonte is re-ported here. The experimental procedure was essentially identical to that of Rowe and Kuroda and will not be discussed here. Table I compares the abundance and isotopic ratios of xenon from Pasamonte I (Rowe and Kuroda, 1965) with that from Pasamonte II (this paper). A is defined here as.
